What is Gout?

Gout is characterized by severe pain and inflammation  

of the affected joint.

it occurs due to high uric acid level in blood, uric acid crystals

get deposited in joints, it causes redness, inflammation and

pain in the affected joint, usually it occurs in people between 

40 to 50 years and some times in younger people also,

in acute episodes there is severe pain and  inflammation in

joints, mostly smaller joints are affected like big toe others are

fingers, wrist, ankle, foot, hand, knee.

first symptom is severe pain and day by day it become chronic,

swollen joints, redness, pain full by slightest touch.

Causes of Gout

High uric acid level in blood is the man cause of Gout, uric acid

is the end product of metabolisation, so when excretory system

can not excrete uric acid, it get deposited in joints and causes 

inflammation and pain.

Which diet should be avoided

purine rich food are the main sources which increases uric acid 

in blood.

organ meats like liver, brain, kidneys, sweet breads,

sea food like anchovies, haddock, scallops, trout, herring,

high purine vegetables like, spinach, asparagus, cauliflower,

peas, mushrooms.

it is one of the chief remedy for gout, with urinary complaints,

it mainly acts on joints and kidneys,

stitching and tearing pain in big toe and knees and wrist, 

affected joints are red and swollen,

mostly pain starts from left side and then appear on right side,

pain worsen at night.

BERBERIS VULGARIS

it mainly acts on the joint problems with urinary complaints,

burning, stitching, and tearing type of pain,

fingers, toes and foot joints are involved with urinary complaints and kidney stones

complaints are worse by motion.

BELLADONNA

affected parts are red and swollen,

pain starts suddenly and violently in joints, great burning and redness on affected joints, pain increases with slight touch and motions.

URTICA URENS

it mainly acts on skin and joints,

there is intense pain with swelling and redness over joints, pain alternates with itching and skin rashes, urtica should be used in very specific conditions. pain worsen by touch.

LYCOPODIUM

it is a right sided remedy, it is used mostly in chronic deep cases, and with urinary complaints

throbbing and cutting pain in joint, redness and swelling of the affected part,

dark and red urine with joint pains.

LEDUM PAL

it acts especially on all joints,

swelling of feet up to knees, big toe swollen and red, 

great stifness of all joints, relieved by applying cold or ice,

patient can not remain covered, ankels and soles are very pain full to step on them pain increases at night.

ARNICA  MONTANA

it is also used in gouty artheritis,

there is burning and throbbing pain in all joints, can not bear slightest touch,

there is a great fear of being touched by any person near to him, or fear of being strucked by any object near by him,

can not walk errect because of severe pain in joints.
