                        A Case of Typhoid Fever                                                       


hello friends,
                    today i am going to share  one of my successful case of typhoid fever, 
A 25 year old married female,  fever started from date 19/4/2016 midnight,
fever was continuous around 103 - 104 f , with mild abdominal pain, constipation and severe headache and generalise weekness,
first pt has consulted an M.D physician he treated her with antibiotics and analgesics reports were, CBC- HB- 9.3, TC-6400,          PC-20,0200,  sgpt- 29.9 urine r/m - negative dated 21/4/2016.
fever was continuous then she consulted another  physician on 27/4/2016 he admitted her for 3 days at that time pt has developed nausea and vomiting , moderate epigastric pain , headache
reports were HB - 8.69, TC- 5,500 PC- 1,54000
sgpt-154, sgot-204, total bilirubin- 0.68 direct-0.18, indirect-0.50 CRP- 14, s.widal- s.typhi O 1: 120 s.typhi H 1:180,
usg abdomen shows mesentric lymphnodes, fever stopped for two days during admission but after going home again high grade fever starts 
she consulted me on 2/5/2016 

fever- 103f 

pulse- 108/min

R/R- 28/ min

B.P- 110/70 mm of hg

Tongue- dry coated+++

thirst - increase thirst during fever,

Appearance- lean, thin, pallor, fatigue,

Symptoms-high grade fever, severe headach, nausea, abdominal pain, constipation, generalise weekness, 

i have prescribed baptsia 200 six hourly and ipecacunha 200 eight hourly,
she again consulted me on 5/5/2016
still fever comes continuously but now it was around 102 f,
headache,nauseas and abdominal pain was gone, but severe constipation,

i have prescribed baptisia 1 M every 4 hourly for 2 days and bryonia 200 eight hourly.

she consulted me again on 8/5/2016
now fever comes only once in evening around 100 f and lasts for 2 hours only
constipation was better 
no headache and abdominal pain, 
pt feels healhy and energetic then before
i have continued baptisia 200 eight hourly and bryonia 200 eight hourly for further 1 week , and fever was completely gone by 9/5/2016.
